With the New Year just around the corner now, OrderWise have welcomed another intake of staff. The first three weeks of their time was a combination of learning OrderWise in a classroom environment along with regular periods in our warehouse training facility to ensure that the real life application was fully understood. Of course, this intensive training was also interspersed with assessments of their knowledge and progress to ensure benchmarks were being achieved.
With a few weeks behind them since the initial training was completed, each new staff member has settled into their departments and started the second stage of training in their respective roles.
As always this new intake sees a mixture of roles being filled throughout OrderWise with the focus yet again on improving and enhancing the infrastructure and resources available to our customers.
Joining the OrderWise team are:
Rebecca Bailey – Office Coordinator
Rebecca has worked in a number of different environments over the years, having worked in the casino industry for 12 years before doing six month tour of the Lebanon and running her own business for 10 years. This customer facing experience and varied administrative skill set makes Rebecca a real asset to the OrderWise Sales Team. Rebecca says she spends her spare time just “trying to get five minutes peace”, a hobby many of us will have this time of year! For Christmas, Rebecca is hoping for a new Gucci handbag from her husband, Michael, and in return he would like a new padlock for his wallet!
David Barker – Software Tester
Last year David graduated from De Montfort University in Leicester with a degree in Music Technology. In addition to this qualification, David has also gained valuable customer service skills in with national retailers and service providers. With this analytical nature, David is well suited to his new role as an OrderWise Software Tester. When he’s not testing, David likes to indulge himself in his lifelong interests of computers and music by playing guitar, piano and creating new laptop-based compositions. However all David wants for Christmas is the World’s Biggest “Hoagie” Sub Sandwich – Turkey, Stuffing and Cranberry filling by any chance?
Rob Morley – Technical Support Advisor
Like David, Rob studied Music Technology at the University of Hull, before moving on to work at an Argos branch in Lincoln. Combining this customer service experience with his passion for computing, Rob is a welcome addition to the OrderWise Support Team. Outside of OrderWise, Rob has similar hobbies and interests to Sir Bradley Wiggins, as he enjoys listening to music, going to gigs and cycling. For Christmas Rob has said he would like “mainly surprises” from his friends and family, although his Dad has already given the game away by telling Rob he has bought him an autobiography!
