This month here at OrderWise, we have welcomed our first new intake of staff of 2015. As always the first three weeks of their time was a combination of learning OrderWise in a classroom environment, along with regular periods in our warehouse training facility to ensure that the real life application was fully understood. Of course, this intensive training was also interspersed with assessments of their knowledge and progress to ensure benchmarks were being achieved.
Each of the 8 new recruits now have a few weeks behind them since their initial training was completed and have begun the second stage of training in their respective departments.
As always this new intake sees a mixture of roles being filled throughout OrderWise, with staff brought in to help develop and provide support for our upcoming Accounts module, as well as new staff to further enhance the support and implementation experience offered to our valued customers.
Michael Peacock – Accounts Software Advisor
Michael has joined the OrderWise team to assist with the design and development of the OrderWise Accounts module. Having worked in accounting for over 30 years across a wide variety of industries including construction and waste recycling, Michael has all the necessary experience to ensure our Accounts Software is an industry leader. Outside of work, Michael enjoys Football, Rugby, rocking out to 70s rock legends Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath and just getting as much sleep as he can!
Anna Blythe – Accounts Software Advisor
Similarly to Michael, Anna has joined the OrderWise team to oversee and advise as we progress the development of our Accounts Module. With numerous qualifications in accountancy, including an AAT Level 2 Certificate and AAT Level 3 Intermediate Diploma in Accounting, Anna brings a wealth of knowledge that will be a huge asset to OrderWise as we continue our Accounts Software development. In her spare time, Anna’s hobbies include reading dystopian novels, playing tennis and skiing, although she is happy to settle for an evening watching Ski Sunday with her husband James when there’s no snow around!
Richard Cone – Software Trainer
Richard has joined the OrderWise Projects team as a software trainer, helping our customers to learn how to use OrderWise before going live. With over 25 years’ experience working in a variety of IT Service Management and IT Training roles, Richard has a proven background that makes him a welcome addition to our team of OrderWise Trainers. Never too far from technology, Richard spends his spare time messing about with electronics, computers and producing ham radio. He also enjoys walking and hopes to one day hike the entire length of the coast-to-coast footpath!
Dave Collins – Software Trainer
Also joining the OrderWise Projects team as a software trainer, Dave has spent the last several years gaining valuable learning and development experience working for a global telecommunications company. There he spent his time designing and delivering a wide range of training courses, making him very well suited to his new role here at OrderWise. When he’s not working, Dave enjoys spending time with his children, going on bike rides, walks in the park and trips to the coast. However when he gets time to himself, you are likely to find Dave in his greenhouse tending to his current batch of crops!
Simon Flood – Software Trainer
Joining Richard and Dave in the role of Software Trainer here at OrderWise is Simon, who has spent the last 7 years working in different support roles within the technology industry. During this time, Simon’s work involved attending customer sites and finding resolutions to their complex operational issues. This extensive experience working in this kind of environment makes Simon a great new addition to the OrderWise Projects Team. In his spare time, Simon is a self-proclaimed geek who enjoys playing computer games, discovering new technology and testing out all the latest gadgets and gizmos!
Sam Harris – Project Coordinator
Another new addition to the Project Team, Sam joins OrderWise as a Project Coordinator with her role helping to ensure each new OrderWise customer undergoes a successful implementation in their place of business. Having previously worked for the local government in both project management and event coordination, Sam is the ideal candidate for her role here at OrderWise. Outside of work, Sam enjoys riding her motorbike, attending rock gigs and generally earning the nickname “Master of Sarcasm” amongst her friends!
Andy Connolly – Technical Support Advisor
The first of our two new Technical Support Advisors, Andy has extensive experience working in customer facing environments, having worked in various managerial roles for companies such as Aldi, Ladbrokes and McDonalds. This working background combined with qualifications in both Business Studies and IT makes Andy the perfect candidate for a role within our Support department. When he’s not assisting customers, Andy’s hobbies include photography, socialising with friends and most sports, although Andy admits the latter is enjoyed more from the armchair these days!
Stef Marsh – Technical Support Advisor
Joining Andy in the role of Technical Support Advisor is Stef, who also brings with her a wealth of experience working in customer service roles. Having previously worked as a customer care assistant at McDonalds before becoming a customer advisor at Vodafone, Stef is going to have no problems helping out our customers and settling into her role within the support department. In her free time, Stef enjoys spending time with her son, attending heavy metal gigs, knitting and crochet – perhaps keep your eye out for OrderWise Woolly Jumpers and bobble hats exclusively made by Stef in the near future!
I am sure you will join all of us here at OrderWise in welcoming our 8 new staff members to the OrderWise Family and in wishing them all the best in their new roles.
