In keeping with a now long-running trend here at OrderWise, this month again sees more new staff joining the team!
As ever, the first three weeks of their employment was spent learning how to use OrderWise and taking part in activities in our warehouse training facility to provide experience of the software in a practical environment. The intensive training also involved assessments of knowledge and progress to ensure that benchmark understanding was being achieved.
With the initial training undertaken, our newest employees will now receive further training in their respective departments, together with ongoing OrderWise training to ensure that they are always up to speed with our continuously developed software.
Settling into their new roles this month are:
Cameron Bell – Technical Support Advisor
Cameron is the latest recruit to our rapidly expanding Technical Support Department. After finishing his studies at Branston Community Academy, Cameron embarked upon an Apprenticeship in a support role for a large office equipment business. This experience will serve him well in his new role here at OrderWise as he begins to assist our customers on a daily basis. Outside of work Cameron enjoys table tennis, video games and supporting Chelsea FC. Ironic as the form of all Chelsea’s opponents at the moment really PONGS!
Dan Hutchinson – Client Account Manager
Dan will be joining our Client Accounts Department after spending some time in Technical Support to gain a greater appreciation of OrderWise from a customer’s perspective. Dan has previously worked as an Account Manager for Vodafone, so has gained great customer service experience. Dan also has qualifications in sales, negotiating and customer service, all of which will stand him in good stead for his new role here at OrderWise. Dan is married and has two daughters, one of whom was born just before he started at OrderWise, so it’s been a busy time for Dan lately. When he does get some spare time he likes to watch Notts County FC (a family tradition) and regularly DJs at birthday parties and pubs. With Notts County currently enjoying a good start to the season, DJ Dan will be hoping upcoming results don’t TURN THE TABLES!
James Jackson – Software Tester
James is the latest addition to our Testing Department and has previously worked as a Sales Assistant, Hardware Tester and eCommerce Despatcher at an electronics and gaming store. James has a BA (Hons) degree in Media Production and has also worked as a Post-Production Runner at numerous television production companies. Outside of work, James enjoys gaming, going to gigs, the cinema and watching TV. He has also produced an independent/no budget feature film entitled ‘Mute’, which can be viewed on YouTube. Funny, we’ve HEARD NOTHING about it until now – maybe it’s a SILENT movie!
Hannah Brand – Technical Support Advisor
Another new member of our Technical Support team is Hannah, who has valuable experience in 2nd line corporate and enterprise technical support gained at Vodafone. Clearly this will stand her in good stead in her new role here at OrderWise. As far as hobbies and interests go, Hannah has just one thing on her mind – FOOD. In her own words, “I love food, food is life, Nandos, Wagamamas, Chimmys, Dominos, KFC, just everything food, mmmmmmmm!” I guess Hannah’s going to be a BUSY BEE in our new Hive café then!
A big welcome to the latest additions to the OrderWise team, and we wish them the best of luck in their new roles!
