As 2015 draws to a close, it is incredible to think how far OrderWise has come in the space of a year. Since January, our developers have added 470 new modules, features, reports and general enhancements to our state-of-the-art business management software, with this new functionality spread across all areas of our main system and Mobile WMS Devices.
All these new features added in to OrderWise 2015 have been specifically designed to improve existing functionality and help our customers to increase the accuracy, efficiency and productivity of all their daily business processes and warehouse operations. So, let us take a look back at some of the big additions that have been introduced to the software this year:
OrderWise Commerce Websites
Without a doubt the biggest addition to our Business Management Solution in 2015, June saw us finally unveil the OrderWise Commerce, Website Design & Development Team. We recognised that one of the largest headaches businesses today face is having to go back and forth between their website developer and their business software provider in order to organise integration between the two systems. Additionally, it means businesses are paying for the services of two suppliers and dealing with two different support teams, resulting in issues not being dealt with fast enough.
To solve this longstanding issue most businesses trading online face, we decided to introduce our own Website Team that allows us to provide all OrderWise users with a powerful, fully integrated all-in-one business management solution. This means that businesses can now manage all of their daily processes from their front end website through to their back end accounting with OrderWise, while also removing the need to go back and forth between support teams whenever an issue is raised. As all OrderWise Websites are integrated with our main Business Management Software, companies are able to benefit from a cost effective support package from one provider to cover the entirety of their operations.
EBay, Amazon & Google Listings
Another huge addition to our Business Management Solution and in particular our Marketplace Integration, this year has seen the introduction of eBay, Amazon and Google Shopping Listings to OrderWise. EBay and Amazon are the two most widely used marketplaces in the world, with managing and controlling Google Shopping listings also an essential part of online trading for many businesses. Yet here at OrderWise, we saw that many businesses advertising and selling through these platforms struggled to find one single solution to manage all aspects of their trading through these popular online channels.
However thanks to the introduction of our listing tools for eBay, Amazon and Google Shopping over the course of this year, businesses are now provided with a simple, efficient and structured method of listing multiple products across multiple seller accounts on these three platforms. By using the listing tools for eBay, Amazon and Google Shopping in-conjunction with our Marketplace integrations, businesses can use OrderWise to reap the benefits of a comprehensive, fully integrated all-in-one solution to manage every aspect of their online trading from start to finish.
In August, the OrderWise solution saw the arrival of Marketing Campaigns. Offering great flexibility, this great addition enables users to set up fully customised marketing campaigns which can then be applied to sales orders so that the success rate of each can be accurately monitored. With the ability to be utilised in a number of different ways depending on what the business is trying to achieve, as well as providing management of any free gift, service or catalogue offerings, this OrderWise feature offers users effective control over their marketing campaigns and the ability to gain greater insight into how their orders are being generated.
What’s more exciting, in future months we expect to see the functionality available as part of our Marketing Campaigns feature continue to expand as the popularity of this module continues to grow over time.
Mobile WMS Devices
An integral part of the OrderWise Business Management Solution, our Mobile WMS Devices have again been making huge waves this year with their popularity continuing to increase as more businesses begin to recognise the vast benefits of using these devices. Leading the way in cutting edge warehouse management software and barcode scanning technology, these
Wi-Fi and 3G enabled handheld terminals allow businesses to wirelessly, accurately and efficiently manage all their common warehouse tasks.
The demand for these Mobile WMS Devices has been led to and driven by the increasing amount of functionality available on these devices, with more modules and features being constantly introduced in order for mobile device user requirements to be met. Since January, these revolutionary devices have seen a number of high profile new additions, including support for GS1 barcodes and a new Mobile Manufacturing Module.

GS1 Barcode Support
Currently, GS1 barcodes are used by over two million companies around the world, including major retailers, popular online marketplaces, food service operators and healthcare organisations, with more than six billion transactions processed using these barcodes each day. These encoded barcodes offer a streamlined method of transferring several different fields of data, including serial and batch traceability details, into a device with just a single scan. With the addition of GS1 barcode scanning capabilities to these devices, our Mobile WMS Device users are now able to make use of the huge increases in both accuracy and efficiency these dynamic barcodes bring. The OrderWise Mobile Manufacturing module enables businesses to strike the perfect balance between detailed recording of costs and fast, accurate works order processing. Using these devices in-conjunction with Manufacturing in the main OrderWise system, businesses have the functionality available to pick component stock, work through manufacturing processes, manage sub contract work, log labour, equipment, add any created by-products and more.
