OrderWise kickstarts staff members marathon effort

Andrew CheneyAction for Children Donate Text DetailsWhile the recent warmer weather has meant many of us are only starting to get out and about, one member of the OrderWise team has been battling through all weathers.

One of our Senior Business Consultants, Andrew Cheney has been training in preparation for taking part in this year’s London Marathon to be held on Sunday 13th April.  Participating in what will be his third marathon and the second time out in the London Marathon, Andrew’s determination to come in under 3hrs 30mins has meant he has regularly battled the wind and rain to ensure his training stays on course.

While his training will mean Andrew is in the physical shape needed to complete the 26.2 mile course, he will be taking a huge amount of mental strength from the great work his fundraising efforts for his chosen charity Action for Children will make possible.

Action for Children LogoTo give Andy’s fundraising efforts a kick start, OrderWise has donated £250.00 with individual staff members also contributing.  Andy has promised to try his best to beat Mo Farah and considering this will be Mo’s first complete London Marathon we think Andy has already got the edge!

If anyone would like to support Andy and his charity Action for Children you can donate by text to his Just Giving fundraising account.  Simply text the code AFCH53 followed by your donation amount 70070.  Alternatively you can visit www.actionforchildren.org.uk and search for specific Action For Children projects and donate directly to a local fundraising campaign.

We will follow up with details of how much Andy beat Mo by and a final fundraising figure.  Have a great run Andy and good luck!
