This month saw the winners of the 2017 Lincolnshire Media Business Awards announced at the awards presentation and dinner at the Lincolnshire Showground. Businesses from across Lincolnshire were in attendance to recognise and celebrate success stories from a wide range of businesses, with the evening hosted by Lloyd Griffith from Sky TV’s Soccer AM.
OrderWise were lucky enough to be named as finalists in two categories – ‘Education, Training & Skills’ and ‘Business Person of the Year’ for our Managing Director, David Hallam.
With such great businesses in attendance on the night, competition was of an extremely high level, so we were absolutely thrilled when David was named Business Person of The Year. The judges of the coveted award, sponsored by Wilkin Chapman, said: “He’s been through an incredible journey which has included challenges along the way.”
Winning this award was a true testament to David’s passion, dedication and leadership, making him a deserved recipient. Following recognition earlier this year for OrderWise at company, product and employee level, it was only fitting to see David recognised for his tenacity and vision in running the company he set up all the way back in 1991.
When being presented with the award, David said: “I’m absolutely blown away to have won this award but I can’t take full credit as its not only down to me, but also the other 165 people at OrderWise who work tirelessly to make things like this happen.”
- Additionally, the in-house training developed and delivered by the Internal Improvement Department at OrderWise, supported by a team of Software Trainers, was also recognised as the business was named runners-up in the Education, Training & Skills category.
This adds to our growing collection of awards for the year, so a big well done to David and to everyone on helping us achieve this success – here’s hoping we win another one at the Family Business Awards next month!
