Six New Members of Staff Join The OrderWise Team

July 2015 New Starters Group PhotoWith more businesses turning to OrderWise for a complete end-to-end business management solution on the back of the introduction of our new Website Team last month (which you can read more about HERE), a further six members of staff have since joined the company to help cope with the additional demand coming from businesses across the UK and Ireland.

As always the first three weeks of their time was a combination of learning OrderWise in a classroom environment along with regular periods in our warehouse training facility to ensure the real life application was fully understood. This intensive training was also interspersed with assessments of their knowledge and progress to ensure benchmark understanding was being achieved.

With a few weeks behind them since the initial training was completed, each new staff member has since settled into their departments and started the second stage of training in their respective roles within their departments.

This new intake sees a mixture of roles being filled throughout OrderWise with the focus on further expanding the OrderWise brand, improving our infrastructure and enhancing the resources available to our customers. The new staff members joining OrderWise this month are:

Wayne ThumbWayne Andrews – Junior Software Developer

A new addition to the OrderWise Development Team, Wayne has been developing software for well over 14 years with vast experience working in a variety of different languages. With a BSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Lincoln also under his belt, Wayne brings a wealth of expertise that will make him a real asset to the OrderWise Development Team going forward. Wayne’s hobbies outside of work include a keen interest in robotics and a passion for live music, with Wayne having spent the last 15 years playing guitar. Looks like OrderFest may soon be competing with a rival festival – WayneStock!

Matthew thumbMatthew Erwin – Web Developer

The newest addition to the OrderWise Web Team, Matthew joins as a developer and will be helping to build websites for OrderWise customers looking for a full end to end solution. Having worked over the last few years as a developer of eCommerce sites and possessing a degree in Web System Design, Matthew has all the knowledge and experience that makes him an integral part of the growing OrderWise Web Team. In his spare time, Matthew enjoys playing around with computers, photography and, like Wayne, also plays guitar. Maybe he can join the line up at WayneStock!

Laura thumbLaura Lee – Projects Assistant

Joining the OrderWise Projects Team is Laura, who started her career working for Learn Direct as a data input administrator. Laura then went on to work part time for a Denim Development company whilst also studying for her Business Administration award. This knowledge and understanding will serve Laura well as she begins to work alongside her fellow OrderWise Project Coordinators, as well as assisting customers as they go through the data migration process. In her spare time Laura enjoys being active, clocking up 10-15 kilometres running a day and teaching Wado-Ryu Karate to other students. In fact Laura currently holds a 1st Dan Black Belt in the discipline, so her colleagues here at OrderWise will want to be sure to stay on her good side!

Chris thumbChris Lynch – Client Services Advisor

Chris joins OrderWise as a Client Services Advisors, helping our customers to get the most out of their software solution and assist them with adding new OrderWise modules on to their existing package. Having worked for and alongside a number of local breweries over the last 10+ years, assisting with their trading, warehousing, distribution and accounts, Chris has a vital understanding of the real life application of OrderWise that makes him a welcome addition to the Client Services Team. Outside of OrderWise, Chris enjoys wining and dining with his close friends and family, as well as playing Golf. Rumour has it that Rory McIlroy has in fact hand-picked Chris as his replacement in this month’s Open Championship, so best of luck to Chris!

Clare thumbClare Sheeran – Marketing & Sales Coordinator

Clare joins OrderWise as a Coordinator within our growing Marketing department, helping to further promote and increase recognition of the OrderWise brand across the UK and Ireland. Having spent the last 8 years working for a global manufacturing company, arranging and attending exhibitions worldwide, managing their websites and supporting their marketing team in various other roles, Clare brings a wealth of experience that will no doubt help OrderWise to continue to grow. In her spare time, Clare enjoys travelling, gardening, as well as breeding and showing her 40, that’s right 40, prized Guinea Pigs! Regardless of this, Clare assures me she won’t be rushing off to host a rebooted version of The Really Wild Show anytime soon!

Megan thumbMegan Crossman – Office Coordinator

Joining Clare in the OrderWise Marketing Department is Megan, who joins as an Office Coordinator. Megan will be working to ensure that each new business looking into OrderWise is assigned to the Business Consultant most suited to handling their specific opearions and help find them an OrderWise solution to meet their requirements. Having worked previously in a number of customer facing roles, Megan is sure to deliver the excellent service OrderWise customers both new and existing have come to expect. Outside of work, Megan enjoys travelling round the world, skiing and dancing at every possible opportunity. Does that mean we will see Megan bring a Ski-Dance fusion routine to the Britain’s Got Talent audition stage? Keep your eyes peeled for that!

I hope you will join me in welcoming them all to the OrderWise team!
