If your business despatches a lot of deliveries via courier services, then you’ll already know just what a headache it is to manually organise details and rekey vital order information. Not only is this an extremely time-consuming exercise for any company processing a reasonable volume of orders, but having to rekey details into external courier systems means errors can often be made, causing problems with deliveries.
Providing an efficient and accurate solution to this laborious process is OrderWise Courier Integration, which facilitates links to an extensive range of popular courier systems. OrderWise already integrates with over 30 different courier providers in total including Royal Mail, DPD, DHL, UPS, TNT, Parcel Force, FedEx, UK Mail and more. You can read more about our Courier Integration HERE.
Now the broad range of courier integrations we have available has been further extended in version 11.6 of OrderWise, with two more added this month.
UPS Access Point
The UPS Access Point Network allows people to avoid having to wait at home for their packages to arrive and instead simply collect their parcels from a local business at a time that suits them. Now thanks to the new OrderWise Courier integration to UPS Access Point, businesses using this service can now benefit from seamlessly using this service when processing sales orders through OrderWise. How this works is that when a user selects the UPS Access Point Delivery method within the sales order entry screen, a new button is made available on the delivery address tab.
If this button is pressed, a new form will pop up showing the access points available, with these suggested collection points based on the proximity of the access point’s location to the delivery address entered on the sales order already. Once the desired collection point has been chosen, the grid will close and the delivery address on the sales order will be updated to reflect the address for selected access point. This new courier integration will also work for orders taken online, as any eCommerce orders with access point collection as their chosen delivery method will be imported with the access point address already populated as the order’s delivery address.
Established in 1975, DX is an independent mail, parcels and logistics operator that covers the whole of the UK and Ireland. A new International Batch Feed courier definition has been added for DX Delivery, however this works slightly differently to other OrderWise Courier Integrations whereby users firstly need to import delivery centre information before printing the parcel’s courier label when the items are shipped in OrderWise as normal. However after this a paper manifest is then also generated, which is then handed to the DX collection driver to indicate what has been collected.
Thanks to these two new additions, businesses using OrderWise Courier Integration can benefit from even greater choice of couriers that can be used seamlessly with OrderWise. What’s more, users can ensure that orders are always efficiently shipped and delivered to customers at a time and in a manner that suits them.
OrderWise Achieves NetDespatch Pro Partner Status!
Alongside working directly with these couriers themselves, OrderWise Courier Integration also offers links to courier consolidation service providers such as MetaPack, Parcelhub and more, who themselves provide integration with all the major couriers.
One of these service providers that we have worked with for some time now is NetDespatch, with OrderWise able to offer integration to popular couriers such as APC, Asendia, Royal Mail and Yodel through their platform. Having worked with them for a number of years now with six courier definitions in total available to their system, this month NetDespatch have awarded OrderWise Pro Partnership status through their new partner programme. To achieve Pro Partnership status, OrderWise was able to demonstrate advanced NetDespatch integration to our customers and offer solutions for some of their supported carriers. The next milestone is Premium Partnership status, which we hope to achieve through our continued work with NetDespatch.
By having OrderWise seamlessly integrated to a system like NetDespatch, businesses using our software can ensure that all key delivery details are seamlessly transferred over to the necessary couriers for safe delivery, allowing their time and money to be saved.
