Continued Recruitment Drive Adds 11 New Faces

All Staff 350pxAs our substantial growth in numbers continues, it’s hard to believe OrderWise has come from 80 to over 150 staff members since this time last year. This month we see an impressive 11 new faces join a wide range of departments having completed their initial three weeks of training and assessments. As always this recruitment drive aims to continue our ability to meet demand and help effectively service our ever-growing user base.

Having successfully completed their preliminary training, the latest staff members have begun to settle into their new roles with the second stage of training in their respective departments now well underway.

Officially joining the OrderWise team this month are:

Jane WallisJane Wallis – Client Account Manager

With previous experience working for a stock control software company implementing global ERP systems, Jane joins the team ready to hit the ground running and will be heading into our ever-growing Client Account Management Team. Her plethora of qualifications includes a postgraduate diploma in Marketing and a Change Management Practitioner certificate, which should provide Jane with the skills to tend to our existing customers’ needs with great professionalism. In her spare time when Jane isn’t enjoying walks or getting involved with local community projects, she likes to try her hand at playing darts. Jane has also achieved a degree in Zoology just to add to her KOALA-FICATIONS.

Kyle DurhamKyle Durham – Technical Support Advisor

Kyle is the first of four to join our Technical Support Team this month and already has a wealth of knowledge to help him settle in quickly. Kyle has previous experience in a warehouse environment and has also worked for an eCommerce business, which should give him the upper hand when helping our users with their questions. Leading a double life, by night Kyle is lead vocalist for his band, Arkiva, and often tours with them across Europe. Whilst he lists his band as his main hobby, Kyle also confesses to being a Liverpool supporter, a fan of Leicester Tigers Rugby club and an avid PlayStation fanatic. With all this going on, we would wonder how Kyle keeps his busy lifestyle afloat… but luckily he’s a qualified lifeguard too!

Abbii WhalleyAbbii Whalley – Technical Support Advisor

Also joining the expanding Support department, Abbii is another of our newest Technical Support Advisors. Having gained existing skills from her previous job in a similar role at BT, Abbii can quickly get to grips with her new position here at OrderWise. Prior to this, Abbii studied Business Administration at College, so we are sure she is skilled at making fast and accurate decisions perfect for the environment she is joining! Outside of work, you can find Abbii writing online ‘Teen-Fiction’ or cooking up a storm in the kitchen, which she enjoys to do with a glass of red wine in hand – that’s a GRAPE decision Abbii!

Lewis BarnardLewis Barnard – Technical Support Advisor

Lewis has previously worked at the Co-op Pharmacy and is ready for a new challenge as he joins the Technical Support team. Having studied ICT at A-level, Lewis is off to a great start as he settles into his new role assisting businesses using OrderWise to manage their daily operations. Outside of work, Lewis enjoys catching up with his friends from University and playing video games with them. We asked him if he had a favourite console but he simply replied in the French affirmative of “Oui”….guess we’ll never know!

Daniel CowenDaniel Cowan – Technical Support Advisor

The final of our four new additions to Technical Support this month is Daniel who has spent the last four years of his life studying Psychology at the University Of Lincoln, so he’s certainly not a-FREUD of any hard work. This degree will also arm Daniel with the perfect communication and interpersonal skills needed when performing his role as a Technical Support Advisor here at OrderWise. His hobbies include hunting for new bands to enjoy and COMING UP FOR AIR by taking the time out to relax with George Orwell novels.

Olwyn ReesOlwyn Rees – Sales Coordinator

Olwyn has joined the company as our newest Sales Coordinator, a much valued role within OrderWise. Previously having been a Support Team Coach in Customer Services, Olwyn will be able to bring her excellent team skills to the table and effectively manage the operations of a fast-paced Sales office. Olwyn is a long standing member of GirlGuiding UK and is the Assistant Leader for her local Guide Unit. Her continued devotion to GirlGuiding UK has meant Olwyn recently completed her Queen’s Guide Award and will be travelling to London for a formal presentation in June to receive this highly commended accolade! On top of this, Olwyn enjoys reading, horse riding and helping to look after the cows on her friend’s farm, which we think is UDDER-ly brilliant!

Connor BarnardConnor Barnard – Implementation Assistant

Connor joins us this month having previously worked for a business that uses our software to manage their operations. This inside knowledge will help Connor jump straight into his role as Implementation Assistant with an understanding of how businesses use our software. We look forward to Connor bringing this experience, which saw him witness OrderWise working first hand in both a warehouse and office environment, to his new role. Regarding his hobbies outside of work, Connor has been a long standing supporter of Lincoln City, IMP-ressive commitment Connor! With their success in recent months, it seems this Ded-IMP-cation seems to finally be paying off for him.

Josh TaylorJosh Taylor – Accounts Specialist

This month, we also see two new Accounts Specialists join the team. The first is Josh, who has 5 years’ experience working within the finance department at GCI. This valuable knowledge gained from his roles in accounts and credit control will greatly benefit him as he guides clients to getting the best of our comprehensive Accounts Software. Previous to this, Josh spent two years in an apprenticeship with the Learning and Development department at Lincolnshire County Council. With Josh citing one of his hobbies as cricket, it’s no surprise he passed all the initial OrderWise TESTS!

Ciara HighfieldCiara Highfield – Accounts Specialist

Ciara is the second of our new Accounts Specialists to join OrderWise this month. With previous experience as an Accountant and later becoming an Accounts Manager, Ciara will be bringing a wealth of expertise to the team. Ciara is also currently studying towards her ACCA outside of work, which will further improve her ability to help our clients with any type of accountancy based questions. When she’s not studying, Ciara has a taste for adrenaline with a passion for adventure sports such as skiing and jet-skiing, but does enjoy some quiet time too with her friends. Ciara also owns parrots of which she likes to teach to speech. If she gets a centipede to go with her parrot, Ciara will have herself a WALKIE-TALKIE.

Joining us as a Front-End Developer is Steven who comes to us with a background of working as an Accountancy App developer and building the online presence of large clientele. Similar to his new role, Steven worked on websites, online promotions, mobile applications and more, which aids his expertise in developing and maintaining eCommerce stores for a range of OrderWise clients. Outside of work, Steven has two young children who thoroughly enjoy watching Star Wars back-to-back or learning to read from Marvel comics. He insists it’s not all geeky in their house however, as he does have an adventurous side and likes taking the little ones on trips to the park too. They must think YODA best dad ever Steven!

James GoreJames Gore – Web Designer

Our final new member this month is James, who joins the eCommerce team as a Web Designer. James has a degree in 3D Design from Manchester University providing him with a good sense of design and skills to quickly settle into his role here at OrderWise. He also spent 6 years freelancing as a product/graphic designer in order to fully develop his skills and knowledge in this area. James loves designing so much that he classes it as a hobby as well as his career but also enjoys sports, socialising and going to the gym in his free time. He also likes to get involved with the Tough Mudder events and we’re thinking of joining in the next one to help turn these PUNS, INTO GUNS!
