Thursday 21st June saw OrderWise host our highly anticipated Business Connect Expo at the Everyday Champions Centre in Newark. Over 140 existing clients from across the UK and Ireland joined us for the opportunity to network with hundreds of businesses operating similar processes, uncover forward-thinking solutions and connect with like-minded industry professionals.
Clients were able to explore the latest OrderWise innovations provided by over 10 stands situated around the central theatre, offering attendees an exclusive preview of new software and a few upcoming developments. Amongst those previewed was our brand new warehouse robots, a recent technological enhancement that we are currently researching and hope to introduce to our software shortly. The immeasurable benefits of the significant pick rate increase that can be achieved by these robots is something we are very excited to see, and many attendees to the stand on the day left amazed at how these robots can potentially benefit their own business in the near future.
On the success of the event, OrderWise MD, David Hallam commented:

An Engaging Speaker Line Up Followed By Q&A With Key Department Heads
Throughout the day clients were able to hear from an engaging speaker line up and gain invaluable insight into best processes across many areas of business operations, which was then concluded by a Q&A session led by key department heads from across OrderWise.
Amongst the line-up was Director of SEO Traffic Lab, Richard Hill, giving his take on the current state of Google Shopping. He said:
“It’s been fantastic to be part of such a well organised and well attended day. The quality of the speakers has been great and we`ve had plenty of delegates coming to chat over their issues with us on our stand. OrderWise know their customers better than most and to give them the opportunity to dig deeper into how they can improve their operations has been beneficial for everyone here.”
Also speaking on the day was our Sales manager, Jon Roberts, who gave an upbeat take on the state of high street versus online sales. He said:
“We are hearing a lot of tales of woe from high street brands running into trouble. However if you start digging beyond that, you actually find the majority of online sales are still being made by traditional brands who have their origins in bricks and mortar. Knowing your customers and what they want is key – I hope I communicated that fact to the delegates in attendance.”
Workshops were also provided around lean business techniques from industry experts and customers had the chance to speak to long term OrderWise customers who were in attendance such as; A. Perry Ltd, a metalwork component specialist and Merida Bikes, an engineered bike and cycle expert.
We are thrilled with the success of the day and the kind words we received on hosting this event. It was a great opportunity to discuss operations face-to-face with a wide range of our valued clients and ensure we are truly considering their needs as our software moves forward.
