The start of 2017 sees no let-up in new staff members joining the OrderWise team as we continue to grow and build on our record growth in 2016. Our nine latest recruits join a variety of departments helping to strengthen OrderWise resources across the business.
The first three weeks of their employment was spent learning how to use OrderWise and taking part in activities in our warehouse training facility to provide experience of the software in a practical environment. The intensive training also involved assessments of knowledge and progress to ensure that benchmark understanding was being achieved.
With their initial training now completed, each staff member has started settling into their new job role and begun the second stage of training in their respective departments. Officially joining the OrderWise team this month are:
Terry Woollcott – Technical Support Advisor
Terry joins our Technical Support team this month having emigrated from South Africa. His previous experience is in both retail and corporate technical support roles, and he has undertaken remote and on-site support for internet connectivity and website hosting, as well as the installation and maintenance of networking and VOIP systems. This experience will make Terry a valuable member of the OrderWise team as he settles into his first job in the UK. Outside of work Terry enjoys listening to music, building computers, playing video games and watching movies. He also taught himself how to play guitar, so our customers don’t need to FRET about Terry being a quick learner!
Eric Lee – Client Account Manager
Eric joins the OrderWise Client Services team after gaining a wealth of knowledge in his previous roles. Eric has 17 years’ experience in customer service, including five years at Vodafone, and has worked as an Account Manager and Business Development Manager. Eric also has experience in software testing and this wide-ranging experience will stand him in good stead in his new role here at OrderWise. Outside of work Eric enjoys spending quality time with his family and has sporting interests that include football and badminton.
Rebecca Edwards – Technical Support Advisor
Also joining the Technical Support team this month is Rebecca who has previously worked in customer-facing roles as a Travel Money Advisor and as a Sunbed Tanning Advisor. This experience in customer service will be of value as she begins to assist businesses who are using OrderWise to manage their operations. Rebecca also has a degree in Graphic Design and her main interests in life are her dogs, family and friends. Her hobbies also include horse riding and with all the other equestrians already in the company, I’m sure she’ll HOOF no trouble settling into her new role at OrderWise.
Damian Booth – Software Trainer
Damian has customer service experience in telecoms, insurance and water businesses where he was also involved in the training and coaching of staff. He has also written various training/coaching documents for use across call centres, making him a valuable addition to the OrderWise Training team. In his spare time, Damian enjoys cooking, playing the guitar, photography and photo editing, and he is currently working towards a Diploma in Photoshop. However with five children from ages two to seventeen, much of Damian’s time is spent entertaining them or being a taxi service! Having five children to run around after, we hope Damian has some good TRAINERS!
Jade Wilson – Technical Support Advisor
Another new member of the Technical Support team this month is Jade who has previous experience in retail customer service, where she would help customers with any issues they may have on a daily basis. This transferable experience will serve her well as she begins her new role assisting our valued OrderWise customers. Outside of work, Jade is keen on travel and visiting capital cities around the world. She is also a big fan of TV box sets such as Hawaii 5-0 and CSI, so I DETECT that she might go far here at OrderWise.
Carly Boyd – Software Trainer
Carly’s previous experience includes being a Project Manager at a payroll bureau and she will take up her new role with the Training team after some time spent in Technical Support. In her spare time Carly has a wide range of interests. She is a fan of the 80’s, Harry Potter and murder mysteries, and she has just started taking piano lessons and also French lessons. With this in mind, we’re sure that Carly has that certain JE NE SAIS QUOI needed to be a success here at OrderWise!
Joe Cooper – Technical Support Advisor
Continuing the additions to our Technical Support team this month is Joe, who studied IT at GCSE and A-Level and then completed an IT Apprenticeship. With 3 years’ experience as an IT Support Administrator Joe will be a real asset to the OrderWise team. Joe is a self-confessed fan of anything geek related and enjoys computers and gaming. Interests outside of work are going to the gym, seeing friends/family and, bizarrely, eating chicken wings. I wonder if this means that Joe will regularly volunteer to work off the CLUCK!
Gina Metcalf – Implementation Specialist
Gina has a degree in Business Information Technology and several years’ experience working in IT support at the Ministry of Defence. These qualifications and her experience will be put to good use in the Technical Support team before she takes up her new role as an Implementation Specialist in our Projects Department. In her spare time Gina tells us that there aren’t enough hours in the day to pick up any hobbies, so she just focuses on staying out of trouble!
Jonathan Swindon – eCommerce Advisor
Joining our eCommerce team this month is Jonathan, who has 11 years’ experience as a Technology Research Analyst and Account Manager. This work history will serve Jonathan well as he begins to help OrderWise clients looking to have one of our eCommerce websites designed and developed for their business. Outside of work, Jonathan cites his main hobby as web development, so both his experience and hobbies will help him in his new role in eCommerce, making him well-suited to his new position.
We wish the latest additions to the OrderWise family all the best in their new roles.
