Don’t worry, they’re just hiding!!

Every now and again we get customers calling us in a panic because they have opened up a module in OrderWise and nothing appears, it’s amazing the amount of stress this can cause at 9am on a monday morning!

Don’t worry, all is not lost.

Within OrderWise there is what’s known as a query bar which can be found by right clicking on most grids within the software and clicking ‘Show Query Bar’. This will show the query bar at the top of the grid and it will show one of three things – either ‘No user query running’, ‘No records found from user Query’ or ‘# records found from user query’. If you are not used to using this feature this may cause some confusion.  If you see either of the latter two, right click anywhere on the screen and then select ‘Show all records’ this will then show what you were expecting to see when you opened the module.

The Query bar was designed to make life easier, giving the opportunity to search for customers/suppliers/products etc without having to scroll through (in some cases) thousands of records.

To use this feature click on ‘new query’ to the right of the query bar, this will open a new screen giving you the option to search by anything that is across the top of the grid i.e. account number or product code. Also, you have the option to select a condition i.e. is equal to or contains, you can then enter the value which is what you want to search for, once this is saved it will show only a selected amount of records, saving time having to filter though records to find the one thats wanted.
