More New Recruits Join The OrderWise Team

New Starters Group 350pxContinuing the trend of expansion here at OrderWise we have five new staff members to further complement our teams across the business.

As ever, the first three weeks of their employment was spent learning how to use OrderWise and taking part in activities in our warehouse training facility to provide experience of the software in a practical environment. The intensive training also involved assessments of knowledge and progress to ensure that benchmark understanding was being achieved.

Even with the initial training out of the way, our newest employees can expect continued training alongside the rest of the 170+ staff on various developments within OrderWise, ensuring that they are always up to speed with our continuously developed software.

Settling into their new roles this month are:

Steven Stewart 120pxSteven Stewart – Accounts Software Specialist

Steven joins our Projects Department as an Accounts Software Specialist having previously worked as an Assistant Accountant. Steven’s experience also covers IT Support and Data Protection and his experience, together with AAT qualifications, will make Steven a real asset to the OrderWise team. In his spare time Steven enjoys playing cards, pool in the pub and walking/training his dog. I wouldn’t play poker with Steven though – you’re sure to get a RUFF deal!

Christian Blanchette 120pxChristian Blanchette – Reports & Layouts Writer

Christian is the latest addition to our Reports & Layouts team and she has previously worked as a researcher and also as a Data Analyst for over 10 years. Christian relocated to Lincoln from the bright lights of London and is now enjoying the less hectic Lincoln life with her family. Her hobbies include running and listening to music/going to gigs. I guess if Kate Bush plays a gig at Lincoln Castle, Christian will be RUNNING UP THAT HILL to see her!

Alice Rippin 120pxAlice Rippin – Client Account Management Coordinator

Alice joins our Client Account Management Department as a Coordinator, having gained similar experience in the Customer Solutions Department of a large office equipment company. As such, Alice will hit the ground running in her new role and be a valuable member of the ever-growing Client Account Management team. In her spare time Alice enjoys travel, gardening and looking after her kitten, ‘Reggie’. I’m sure if Reggie had a twin, Alice would give him a KRAY-ZY name like Ronnie!

Charlotte Brand 120pxCharlotte Brand – Projects Assistant

Continuing the growth of our Projects Department is Charlotte who joins as a Projects Assistant. Charlotte has a wide a range of valuable skills and experience having worked as a Case Manager at BT where she handled customer complaints and ongoing system issues. This experience problem-solving will come in handy as she begins to implement OrderWise within the Projects Team. In her spare time Charlotte enjoys going to the gym, where she also teaches some of her own classes. I did try to think of a Yoga-based pun to go here, but most of them were A BIT OF A STRETCH!

Philip Prockter 120pxPhilip Prockter – Projects Assistant

Another new addition to our Projects Department is Phil who also joins as a Projects Assistant. Phil has a wealth of previous experience gained in the textile and furniture industry and has worked as a Despatch Manager, Warehouse Manager, Supply Chain & Logistics Manager, as well as Internal Improvement. With this experience, together with being an OrderWise super-user in his previous role, Phil will be a great asset to the team here at OrderWise. Outside of work, Phil and his wife are very keen gamers and also have an impressive collection of video game/Star Wars merchandise. In fact, Phil reckons he has close to 100 pieces of Star Wars memorabilia – 100 items?! He KENOBI serious!

A big welcome to the latest additions to the OrderWise team, and we wish them the best of luck in their new roles!
