This month we take a look at the various exciting new features and functionality introduced in version 12.8 of OrderWise, as well as discussing key factors to consider when choosing multi-channel software in our latest feature article.
Included this month, we highlight the first enhancements to our new Store EPOS system together with new features in both our Despatch and CRM modules. There are also enhancements to our Store Management functionality and Creditsafe Integration, plus greater flexibility and management of subcontracted purchase orders in Manufacturing.
As well as these new developments, we announce a national award nomination for our Managing Director, David Hallam, news of our first Charity Quiz and introduce more new recruits to our team.

The new developments featured in this month’s newsletter are:
First Enhancements Added To OrderWise Store EPOS – Last month saw the grand introduction of the new OrderWise Store EPOS module, allowing businesses to effectively manage trading across multiple retail shops whilst also delivering first-rate customer service. Our developers have wasted little time adding several new enhancements to this new module, with multi-currency trading, in-store reports and gift receipts all introduced this month.
Additional Check Functionality In Ship Screen Enhances The Despatch Process – OrderWise Despatch sees new functionality added this month which will help businesses ensure that packing and despatch processes are error-free. New settings have been added which, when enabled, will provide the packer with a visual image of the item to be packed which will serve as an easy ‘double-check’.
Assign Multiple Opportunities to a Project In CRM – This month sees new functionality added to the OrderWise CRM Module which provides the ability to link several opportunities, customers and quotes to a single project. This allows more structured management of opportunities and tasks connected to multiple customers and provides tight control over projects.
Retain Warehouse Stock For Greater Responsiveness With New Store Transfer Buffer – For businesses running a franchise of outlets, it is often important for them to ensure stock of fast-selling or popular items is kept back in the warehouse to be sent to priority stores if needed. Now version 12.8 of OrderWise sees the introduction of a new store transfer buffer, providing the ability to manage this process correctly.
Benefit From Group Structure Visibility With OrderWise Creditsafe Integration – It is not uncommon for businesses to be operating as part of a larger company group structure and visibility of this information can be key when negotiating credit terms in B2B trading environments. Now offering this insight, the latest enhancement to our Creditsafe Integration now sees the ability for group structures to be visible directly within OrderWise.
Easily Update, Quickly Book In & Accurately Handle Your Subcontracted Purchase Orders – Many manufacturers can struggle with ensuring tight control over works order processes and their associated costs whilst maintaining high levels of production efficiency. Now in version 12.8 of OrderWise, further functionality has been introduced to provide even greater control over subcontracted processes with multiple new features.

Building on this recognition, we are extremely excited to announce that our very own Managing Director, David Hallam, has been shortlisted in the Business Leader of the Year category at the National Tech Leader Awards.
OrderWise Staff Get Quizzical In Aid Of Charity – This month the OrderWise team got together for the inaugural OrderWise Charity Quiz. The event was held in aid of LIVES, which is a local charity that supports and trains first aid volunteers. The worthy cause ensured a great turnout of OrderWise staff, all with aim of raising funds for the charity and having a fun time in the process!
More New Recruits Join The OrderWise Team – It’s that time again with several new starters joining the OrderWise ranks this month as the company continues its expansion. This latest batch once again sees resources extended across several key areas of OrderWise, including our Projects, Reports & Layouts, Client Account Management Teams and Accounts Software Specialists.
Employee Of The Month For August 2017 – Our Employee of the Month Award for August 2017 has deservedly gone to Sam Donaghey from our Development Team. Sam regularly shows great dedication and and commitment to his role and is a valued member of the team. With the immense effort Sam has put into our new Store EPOS project, he is a worthy recipient. Congratulations Sam!
On The Road: OrderWise Is Coming To A City Near You! – After a busy first half of the year attending a range of trade shows around the country, the next few months will again see the OrderWise team out on the road to engage with potential customers to advise on the wide range of features and functionality with OrderWise. Over the next few months we’ll be at the eCommerce Expo, the Pharmacy Show and more.
