As you may have seen we have a number of videos, ranging from an overview of OrderWise to more in-depth looks at individual modules.

This new video focuses on website integration using the OrderWise eCommerce Module.

Most people are familar with placing an order on a website but have you ever stopped and thought about the process that happens next?

For any business trading online this is a crucial stage in their workflow and when speaking to these clients we often find that they experience similar issues. Staff have to duplicate information, re-keying orders once received from the website. Not only is this time consuming and inefficient but it can also result in customer receiving the wrong order due to human error. Web visitors are often robbed of stock by other sales channels as the website is updated too infequently.

The video not only explains how OrderWise’s eCommerce Module can eliminate these issues but, using a demo Magento website, takes a closer look at the features available including importing sales orders and updating stock quantities.

All of the videos are available in the download section of our website. Click here to take a look now.

We will have more new videos coming soon so please keep a look out!

The New Year has seen us welcome 7 new faces into the OrderWise team across various departments!

As part of the continued expansion of the OrderWise Support Team, Alan Dawson, Alex Liggett, Greg Downey and Scott Wells all have joined the existing team. Alan and Alex are both Business and Computing Information Systems Graduates with a range of knowledge and experience to bring to their roles and the Team. We are also extremely pleased to welcome Greg and Scott to the team as our first apprentices.

Sam Donaghey and Ken Garner have also joined us, becoming part of our expanded Testing Team where they will play an integral part in the development and growth of OrderWise.

We have also welcomed Andrew Cheney to our Sales Team, where he will be our Referrer Network Coordinator, which will see him build and maintain relationships with our many referrers.

All of our new colleagues are currently undergoing their initial intensive OrderWise training, which give them a comprehensive understanding of OrderWise and how it works. The training culminates in a challenging OrderWise examination which all new staff must pass before progressing onto their roles within their teams, where they then receive training relating to their specific roles.

Welcome to OrderWise Scott, Greg, Alan, Alex, Ken, Sam and Andrew!

If you are one of our users in the Republic of Ireland, you’ll be aware that the Irish standard-rate VAT will rise to 23% on 1st January 2012.

It is important that you do not make any changes to the tax rates in your OrderWise data at present, as this will have implications throughout the system which will adversely affect your order history. To help you achieve a smooth transition to the new VAT rate, our Development Team have created a new utility for making the necessary changes within OrderWise.

We strongly advise all of our customers to take a back-up of their data and perform a test run on the back-up during December, prior to running it on your ‘live data’. As in previous years, instructions are included within the utility. To run the utility, just follow the on screen instructions.

Last Friday we held our annual Christmas raffle, the proceeds from which go to our Charity of the Year.

This year our chosen charity is St Barnabas Hospice.

In addition to the raffle we also had a ‘Guess The Number Of Sweets In The Jar’.

It turned out that there were 297 of them and the competition was won by Ali from Migration with her guess of 295.

A fantastic £54.50 was raised on Friday bringing our total so far to an impressive £411! And there are still three months left to go with lots of fundraising activities planned!!

A big thank you to Debbie from Support for organising the day and to everyone who took part!!
